I work as a research manager at Helsinki University of Technology, Software Business Laboratory, SBL.
Research interests
I am primarily interested in software product development. More
specifically, my dissertation work examines the effect of asymmetric
technical knowledge on the efficiency and effectiveness of cross
functional integration in product development. Theoretical background
of this research comes from sociology and social psychology. In my
research I follow critical realist paradigm of social sciences. In my
empirical research I use both quantitative and qualitative
methods. Currently I am doing my dissertation work as a full time
researcher at University of Turku. Please see my homepage at University
of Turku for
further information.
At SBL I work with the Oskari survey. My responsibility in the
project can be characterizes as a lead researcher role. This includes
managing the data collection, analyzing the data and authoring
scientific papers from the results.
