Overview of the Software Business LabThe Software Business Lab is a part of the BIT Research Center at Helsinki University of Technology. The leading engineering university in Finland, Helsinki University of Technology covers all major faculties of engineering, architecture, and industrial management, twelve in total. The Lab’s research focuses on the management of software product-based business and related service business. We strive for research that fulfils the highest standards of both practical relevance and academic significance. Our research projects are characterized by multi-disciplinarity and often exhibit a problem solving nature, with emphasis on sound empirical research methods and conceptual modeling. In its research, the Lab seeks to collaborate with leading research universities across the globe. We intensively participate in activities of the international research community of the field, a line of work that is most clearly visible in the conference and workshop chairman roles and program committee memberships of the faculty. The Software Business Lab provides undergraduate education leading to a Master’s degree and postgraduate education leading to a Doctoral degree. In addition, the Laboratory runs a Corporate Training Program, organizing e.g. various clinic and workshop projects for improving the management of international software business. |
